Further to the Board statement issued on the 11th November, Members of the Policing Board today agreed that student officer intakes to the PSNI can recommence.
Members are satisfied that sufficient changes have now been made in the implementation of the findings and recommendations from the review to allow student officer intakes to restart.
However, some of the improvements made need to be tested and the Board will continue to closely monitor progress with the Chief Constable and review plans on the longer term issues from the Report.
