The Policing Board has a statutory duty to hold eight meetings in public each year.
Policing Board meetings normally comprise of three sessions – a private session for Policing Board Members and officials only, a private session where the Policing Board is joined by the Chief Constable and chief officers, and a public session that members of the public and media are invited to attend in person or view via livestream. The Board has five Committees as follows:
- Audit and Risk Assurance Committee
- Discipline Committee
- Partnership Committee
- Performance Committee
- Resources Committee
