In your survey can you define what you refer to as an 'assault' on a police officer, do you categorise these and if so who categorises the types of assaults? Also can you develop on the possible recommendations of the Injury and Assault Reduction Strategy working group? How do PSNI statistics for officer assaults compare to other forces around the UK & World? How are we performing compared to elsewhere? Are assaults on police officers seen as more acceptable here than in other parts of the UK - are we seen as a soft touch?
