What input has the Chief Constable into the size of the annual budget which the Policing Board agrees with the Department of Justice?
The draft annual budget for the PSNI is prepared on behalf of the Chief Constable by the PSNI's Finance Department and submitted to the Policing Board for consideration. Subject to any changes or amendments agreed by the Policing Board and the PSNI, the draft budget is submitted to the Department of Justice.
