Please provide a breakdown of how many Ombudsman disciplinary recommendations have been accepted and how many have been rejected.
Answer
Since 1 January 2018, the Police Ombudsman’s Office has made a total of 425 recommendations for misconduct/performance related issues.
Of those:
275 were accepted,
48 resulted in no further action,
82 were varied,
18 are pending decision, and
2 were referred back to the Police Ombudsman.
